I am having the same problem with Ma Bell not letting me download on my phone on Bitpim through my USB cable. I am in Canada also. I can send info to my computer from my phone, pictures that are on my phone already, but I can't send from the computer back to phone.

If you find a way to unlock I would very much appreciate it.

heres the fix, this is what you do, you haven't installed the drivers for it yet, it will install the drivers as a modem, this is correct then it should find it.

    hey.

my carrier is bell (i'm in canada)...and i bitpim...but i can't get info about my wallpapers/calendars/contacts...it just comes up with an error. i can copy and paste the error if that helps...

i can get ringtones onto my computer though so the signal is there.

my other problem is that when i try and send a ringtone or a image to my phone...it goes through the motions and it seems to work (the status bar at the bottom does all the stuff that makes it look like it's working...and my phone says it's insync with a pc...) and then i look on my phone and the stuff i just sent it is nowhere to be found... if anyone can help that would be awesome. thanks

when I pluged my phone into my computer, it recognized what it was, and when I clicked on it in device manager, it said there are no drivers assigned to this device. That's when I installed it manually.

all the drivers that are assigned to them are just usb drivers, they arent assigned to any special device

Sorry I don't have IM but I just picked the XP folder that the driver is in. When I double clicked on the XP folder it just showed me programming code. I didn't have to pick a file in the folder.
