ok this is the exact path i take...

MENU --> SETTINGS --> SOUND --> RINGER TYPE --> RINGER

Once in the ringer choosing section, i have two options called "Music Bells" and "Ring Tones"

The ring tones section only has normal phone rings, while music bells has all the music in it. I can scroll left or right to access either one of these but I can't find any "Downloads" section on it.

Could it be that this is the CDM8900T but it doesn't say anywhere? The ONLY way that i can get to the file is by going:

MENU --> DO MORE --> SOUNDS --> SOUND CLIPS

From there i get the options "Preloaded" and "Mulitmedia" where the one that i downloaded is located. The only options avaliable on the menu of my ring tone is: "Erase, Erase all, Change Title, Send to, Send to online album, and View online album"

I also have a bad feeling that the same thing will happen with Brewsky, so I'm not even going to try to get that and waste the money on a cable.

Anyone who can tell me why this is still not working for me will be much appreciated!

Ok, I figured out how to get the file to my phone, but when it gets there, it only goes under do more --> sounds and I am unable to set it as a ringtone.

As far as I know, I DO NOT have the 8900T, which i read is unable to accept anything except for telus d/l'ed ringtones/images.

I checked the instruction booklet, and nowhere in there does it say 8900T, so I'm pretty sure I'm safe there.

Can somebody please tell me how to set those downloaded midi files as my ringtones?

That just says to go to that Verizon website and do everything from there, but since I'm in Canada and with Telus, it doesn't recognize the number etc... so I can't do it like that.

Also, now that eringers.com is back up, I found a few ring tones there that I like, but I am not too sure how to actually get them to my phone. Can anybody help me out with this too?

((Sorry for my ignorance, but this is my first phone and I have NO clue how to do all this stuff haha))

    Hey guys and gals,

I just bought an audiocox 8900 a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed that the ringtones that it comes with are complete crap, and Telus doesn't have that much of a great selection either, so i was looking for alternate ways to get good ring tones (which is how i found this site).

Anyways, I live in Canada, and the phone is through telus. I read that thread about the Brewsky 8900, but just wanted to make sure that it will work on my phone even though I'm through telus etc...

I also wanted to know what else is required other than that program to get ringtones and images? I heard you need a cable, so I need to know which kind and where can I get it from.

Also, do you guys know anywhere where you can get ringtones without purchasing any cables etc...? And is eringers.com (or w/e its called) any good?

Anywho, thanks in advance to whoever can provide some answers!
