    This is more of a test theory than an actual application because of the possiblilty to treat and steal brew apps like MP3 files, BUT:

    I would think it is possible to backup the brew applications on an 8900, and "in case of damage to the phone, prompting you to replace the handset" you could restore the application to the new handset. This would probably only work if you replaced all of the Brew files on the new handset, because as we all know, simply placing file(s) on the phone will do nothing unless you also update the index (txt) files that is used to tell the phone what resides on the handset.

    Disclaimer: Like I said, this is for theoretical purposes in replacing a handset, and not passing Apps around to your buddies!
