Could someone please tell me the step by step process to configure my Motorola V600 as a analog modem in my laptop. I am having T-mobile connection..

So who's using an MPX200 for a modem using t-zones. What am I doing wrong. Also, who's using t-zones to use the internet explorer in the phone itself. How do I go about setting this up? Is T-zones a WAP or a MMS or what? What elso do I need to know to get it going? Just got the phone today and any help appreciatted.

Have you been affected by the apparent change in the way T-Mobile handles HTTP access with a T-Zones account? Apparently they now restrict HTTP access to many applications unless you pay the $20 internet service fee.

But aren't you just talking about the web on your phone display? I'm speaking of full browser access on your laptop...

5 bux a month for unlimited wireless data...... and the only phone i can find that it will work with is the MPX 200 via usb connection

Something else that just occured to me is that most people have national cell plans so the access point would always remain the same for those people....

You're correct.. however, the point I'm trying to make is that if you already have a dial-up account (as many of us do), this is an inexpensive way to get 'mobile'. Most people who are employed would use it nights and weekends whe most cell plans don't count minutes anyway. I still haven't found any other phones that will do this. Even my previous Nokia do-everything 3650 required you to use it with a data plan. Does anyone know if any other Moto models will do this?

Well. you do incur the minutes used in addition to the fee for normal dialup. with t-zones you get unlimited data on GPRS which is much faster than an analog connection via cell.

I can only speak from experience with the Motorola V600. It will work as an analog modem with your regular dial-up provider. All you need is a bluetooth adapter for your laptop and you will be able to install the phone as a 'standard modem on bluetoorh connection #x'. You will not need to use T-Zones or any other extra cost service.

what is a good cell phone that i can purchase cheap that is gprs compatible and will function on t-mobile network with a usb connection to a pc that can be used as a modem also.... on t-zones.


i'm already aware of the motorola mpx200
and it will work as a usb modem, but i was wondering if there was any other model cell phone that would do this also...

any replies greatly appreciated.
