heres one solution.... try getting your phone non-bell mobility, its easy, go to your local phone supporters store. it is FREE, doesnt cost a cent to do this.

I am one of the fortunate people who have bought a SCP Sanyo 8100 from Bell Mobility . Translation--- I can download from my phone to the computer but I cannot upload from the computer to my phone using the Sanyo USB cable.

I had read in a forum which I can't find now, but it basically said that Bell's ports have been altered as opposed to the same Model that Sprint is selling. I have downloaded the latest of Bitpim, I would like it to work for me.

This is what Bitpim says about Bell.

Bell Mobility, which covers parts of Canada, offers the Sanyo SCP-8100. This phone, while functionally similar to the Sprint 8100, has different firmware, so it is important to the "SCP-8100 (Bell Mobility)" in the settings menu when using this phone.

It has been reported that this verison of the 8100 has media uploads crippled. It is possible to transfer wallpaper and ringers to the phone, however, these media files can not be viewed or assigned to contacts. Because media transfered to the phone over the cable can not be used, BitPim will not transfer images and ringers to this phone.

Any Ideas how to bypass this situation?
