I had the same problem. Click on menu, setup, new phone. choose your connection, then browse for the correct connection file. I used GSM and V220. Once it loaded correctly, the phone window changed to look like my V220. Good luck. If I messed up the details, it really wasn't that hard to muddle through.

I downloaded the mobile phone tools for my motorola v220 and am connecting with usb cable, but it does not seem to recognize my phone. The program says initializing but does not go any further than that. Can anyone offer suggestions?
