Ive had no such problem with my 3120b. Now the lcd went bad on it one or two days after I got it. Blue line right thru the middle of the screen. Cingular replaced it. Its never shut itself off unless the batter runs low and that take 6 to 8 days.

I would be on Cingular and Nokia like a bad dream if this one starts that stuff.

I am also having the same problems with my Nokia3120B, i brought it in august and i can remember that it began randomly shutting itself off not too long afterwards. I have tried everything i could think of to fix it, i've changed batteries and everything, but it will still shut off with a full battery for no reason. it gets rather annoying when i'm having a phone conversation and it will shut off 2 or 3 times in the span of a half hour conversation... any help would be appreciated

Thanks - I Appreciate The Feedback! I did get in touch with Cingular and they do not want to hear about possible defects known with the handset. I asked them if they had similar problems with this handset and they said yes but they couldn't share the problem and/or information with me. Cingular is fine swapping out the handset whenever it fails. The problem I have is when my one year warranty period expires, I'll be stuck with defective equipment and at some point, have to swap out all handsets upon failure. I'm hoping to find others with the same problem so I can add to my documentation to share with upper level management at Cingular. For now they think the problem is operator error. I have a 20 year technical background in telecommunications and engineering and for now, they wont listen to me without further documentation. You Got To Love dealing with a company so large its hard to get anybody's attention unless your head is on fire! Thanks again for the feedback!!! Regards -jvaldez

Is anybody having power related problems with this model? I have three 3120b handsets on my Cingular account, the phones were brand new out of the box. For some reason, they power themselves off. To turn them back on you have to reset the battery. Resetting the battery only works a couple of times, after this they will not power up at all. I've replaced batteries, the problem seems to be with the handset itself. In 5 months I've had to replace handsets 5 times due to this power problem. Since the power problem is so common, it may be due to a manufacture or design defect. If anybody is experiencing the same problem as I, I'd like to hear your feedback and solution if possible. Thanks In Advance!!!
