hey~ i know for a fact there is a way to get the external display to show the date or a personalized banner on the outside...problem is if you got it from verizon they crippled a ton of features on the phone so with verizon you need to make them activate the feature they removed before you can do stuff like that...i am going to the verizon store and yelling at them and making them give me a phone with all of the features available...they have to give you all the feautures on the phone ....email me with more questions....i don't know how to get the phone to show the date myself...i know you need to mess with the config. of the programs and stuff

yeh that helped thats really all i needed. it would be nice to have it on the 2nd display but that works thanks alot.

From what I have found the only place that the date will appear is on the home page. To acomplish this on my phone I needed to clear the banner. Then in the upper left hand corner appears the date, and on the lower Right hand coner was the time. For the front external display I beleave that only the time can appear there. I couldbe wrong but have seen no documetaion on that.
I think this because if you ge the date on the front display you will loose the time due to the way that they have sent the text fonts for the front display. I hope this has help you out. Later Nathan

Does anyone know if it is possible to get the date to show anywhere on the V262? in the manual it says you can display the time and date but i can't find the date anywhere other than in the calendar. it sucks please help -luke
