The same rule goes for Voice Recording through a cell phone. Either the phone does not have the option of recording an ongoing conversation or there is a 'beep' every 15 seconds to make the other party aware that they are being recorded.

Thanks for the advice Mark. I'm from Canada and have never heard of any laws about this, but I will definitely look into getting it flashed.

In some countrys its illegal to not have sound when pics are taken, so id say when your phone was sent off for repairs it was sent to one of these countrys. hence no option! You could try getting it flashed again, or if you know someone who works in a phone shop, get them to flash it.

When I first got my Nokia 3220 I was able to turn the picture sound off, but I recently sent it away for repairs and when I got it back I no longer have the option of turning the sound off.

I'm assuming my phone software must have been updated. Anyone know if it's possible to revert to my older settings?

    Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew how to turn off the snapshot sound when taking a picture with the nokia 3220? I have no idea how to turn this annoying sound off.
