...erm yea. lol my brother forced me into getting one (verizon texting bill is WAAAY high, and my dad had lunch with one of the head guys who said 'thats how we make all our money...and the competitors are getting really creative with making fun of us for it!' )

It's actually pretty okay...turns off randomly once and awhile but that may be the result of dropping it one too many times =p ...
AND with t-mobile, you can get unlimited text messaging

I love the way the Razr feels when i hold it, it feels solid and at the same time very lite, some say it's too wide, if you have small hands i could see how that could be a problem.
PayPal is not a problem, you give PP your credit card # and they pay the seller. If there is a problem you dispute the charges with your credit card company and they dispute it with PP. It's the same thing except it goes through another credit card company and the seller pays PP any charges.

I chose not to buy one because of the cost.

Go to a dealer and check out the Razor, I find it's too wide. It wasn't comfortable when holding, this was the opinion of several people.

It is compatible on my network and the seller responded it would cost an additional $75 to have the phone unlocked. So in total it would cost $595. Could this unit be refurbished? The price seems to be attractive however, I'm hesitant to buy because the phone is locked and I'm thinking it is used, or something could go wrong a couple of months later. Is this a good deal?

I'm back! I'm going to hold off on buying a new moto for now. Eventually, there going to come out with the pebl and the non-flip version of V3. It's either going to be the razr or the pebl. And I'm close to the border. Can drive down however we can claim $200 of merchandise per person and if you go over that amount, then you'll be hit with fees.

Yeah, I have found the phone (brand new) cheaper on the internet, but was wondering about the cost of getting it across the border.
That's a good point Bossdragon, i know some will get you on import fees, while there are others who'll just charge you a high shipping cost to cover some of those fees, so again that's something to consider.

    Sure thing
it doesn't really take much effort, all one has to do is a search and you will find all kinds of deals, try E-BAY for example, hope that helps some.
