Hence the mention of so-linc. Back when the 860 was still unreleased by Nextel you could order one from so-linc for $200.00 without any modifactions to your current contract or the addition of a new one. The price then from them is cheaper then you can get the phone from Nextel today at any promotional price. So I would say it is worth looking into.

Some times you can get one out of so-linc without a new service plan otherwise ebay, newspaper or a friend in the industry is about it.
