    Your computer probably just changed the COM port for your Data Cable, since it sounds like its a USB cable. In BitPim, go under Edit, then to settings. When you get there, go down to where it says "COM Port" and click on the "Browse..." button. Find your data cable in there, select it, and click OK. Click OK again, and try to connect to your phone then!

    BitPim was working fine, sending wallpaper and ringtones to my LG-VX6100. Then, all of a sudden, I get this error everytime I try to send ringers/wallpaper to my phone:

    Pop-up titled "Failed to open communications - COM6"

    "COM6: could not open port (2, 'Create File', 'The system cannot find the file specified.')"

    Can anyone offer any help at all? Thanks.
