Yep, got a data cable as well. Used it to upload music and wallpapers to my phone. You can find them actually pretty cheap off of ebay. It came with a CD full of ringtones as well.

I like my method better, I take my $12(shipped) datacable and use it to upload 30 truetones/mp3/wav ringers... then I filter out the 20 or so that don't sount that good to me and I saved myself over $20 and got to test them all on my phone... and anything I want to add in the future is free as well

Testing them out on your computer is not a very good test. Test 1 out on your phone (spend the 3.50 or whatever). If it doesn't sound good it's because either

    a) Your phone sucks at playing mp3 tones altogether.
    b) The song you picked doesn't make a very good ringtone in the first place.

Acutally, I can download any .mid I upload on a server (but they must be about 6000 bytes max) and download them through the web broswer of my cell phone! It's a Kyocera KE424C

but for wallpapers.. haven't found out yet =X Tried e-mailing Kyocera to know what filetype their phone support, but they told me they can't give me this kind of information and telus will surely tell me to download their wallpaper >.>

Everyone keeps shooting down telus for the whole no USB cable thing, but now that you can download actual songs to use as ringtones on your phone (through mytelusmobility.com, or muchmusic.com) the positives outweight the negatives, the only thing thats not so good is that only about 5-10 of the songs that are currently out are worth downloading, and its 3.50 a pop, so my advice is to test them out on the computer before you download any.
