a friend of mine has one and he dropped it into a pool and it still worked just fine, most nextel phones are really rugged tho. my dad has dropped his i860 on conrete and all sorts of stuff countless amounts of times and it works as if nothing happened.

I have documented on the site many times how much I abuse my i58sr. I refused to give it up because it takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. Just wondering if anyone can compare their beating to mine and if the phone can take it...

    1) Dropped i58 off of a 20-foot, fully extended, scissor lift to a concrete slab below

    2) Dropped it down a 3-floor flight of concrete stairs

    3) Attended a concert in the rain and got it waterlogged.

I know it's asking a lot considering it's been out for a week. Just wondering if the upgrade is worth it or not. Please let me know and let's hear some other NEXTEL horror stories.
