Depot is a version of Carrier RSS that allows you to do more changes to your CP then the regular Carrier RSS

Lab is a step above Depot and gives you the ability to do even more things to your phones software.

Number meaning you will have to clairify I am not sure what you are refering to.

Codeplug is the software installed on your phone and basically tells your phone what to do and how to respond.

RSS is a program called Carrier RSS the newest version to date being 13. It gives you the ability to read the software of the phone (Codeplug, or CP) save it, make changes and reinstall it on the phone.

Well, that answered a few questions for me, but I am sure a bunch of other people that are new to the site are not sure of some of the terminology used in these threads. There should be some kind of definitions "sticky" of FAQ posted somewhere on the site...or here.

Oh, I see. So, you are able to interchange the sim cards between phones of the same level.

they use different kinds of sim cards, you can tell which one you have by how many digits are in the model of phone you have. for example an i90 is condor and i730 is falcon.

Codec are used for audio/video file compression. mpgs, mp3s, mp4s, avis, etc., all use different codes for compression.
Check out www.videohelp.com if you want to learn about codecs.

codecs are the things inside your phone, they are usually modified with a depot/RSS type program

Can someone please direct me to a post where there are definitions of some sort, or something like that, for the lingo on this forum. If not, lets use this post to start one up.

    Unlock -
    Codecs -
    Falcon -
