Its a limitation of BitPim, they dont send qcp. I also sent a qcp to my computer from my phone, but not to the phone.

Does anyone know of a program like bitpim thats free and sends qcp ringtones?

Also, websites like, phoneuploader.com do they cost anything. I make my own ringtones so i want to send them to my phone, so does it cost anything???

I am also having the same problem have been able to transfer a mini file I made over to the phone using bitpim and I have transferred a few qcp’s using phoneuploader.com so I know the phone can use qcp’s, but I would like to be able to do it without the internet of vision on my phone. I have transferred one of the qcp’s from my phone to my pc with bitpim, deleted the song off my phone and tried to send it back with no luck. Is this a limitation of the phone or bitpim.

I checked the log like you said. It said some different problems. It also said to look at help for sanyo phones and check the error codes. On one of the problems it said this.....

Invalid file type: Sanyo phones only accept PNG wallpapers and MIDI ringers. Other file types, such as QCP ringers, will not be accepted. (This is a limitation of the phone, not BitPim.)

Is this true, they don't accept QCP, because i heard that they do, and i heard my phone, PM8200, can use QCP!!??

    Please respond soon!!!!!!

Take a look at the log after you try again. It will tell you why it didn't work. I seem to have a limit on the size of the ringtone and the number of ring tones. If the log shows that everything went through okay then press the menu button on your phone and then tools/extras and then PC Sync. Once you are in the PC Synch menu you will see the uploaded ringers/photos. You need to assign them in order to use them.

Having problems putting ringtones to my 8200 with usb data cable. I have the drivers and the phone says its connected to the PC. I have made the song into qcp file.

I go to the top toolbar and click "send phone data" and it looks like it goes through the process but its not on the phone afterwards. I go to PC sync and look if its there, and its not!!

Can someone please tell me what im doing wrong or if there is some other software i can use instead???

    please post back soon!!!!!!!
