I am useing the program that you are mentioning in this threed and it works.
heres how to get your pictures to your computer.
Note: I am useing Windows XP (with service pack 2) so if your on a mac or useing win2000 win98 im unsure i can help you.

    1) first thing you need to do is buy a data cable. I bought mine from ebay its easy to find search for "L1400" and look under the directory phones and accessories on the left hand side. I am useing the USB Cable with a small black box in the middle of the cable.

    2) when your cable comes in the mail plug the cable into your usb port and into your phone. put the drivers cd into your cd-rom. Choose the option (winxp) to "install automaticly which is the first option. you might have to do this a few times.

    3) goto http://pages.cthome.net/ajr/lg1400com/
reads the website and follow the directions.

We should all thank this guy for all of his effort. Without this handy little program i have no idea how i would get pictures off the phone. its insane that cingular and verizon wants to charge money to do such a simple function.

P.S. I did load .net and the program, it's seems to work! But I don't have a cable yet to actually test my phone.

If this does work, we all should send the developer a few bucks - that way we can get the newer version and reward him for his time!

Ig ot this info from another user at another site. I have not tried it yet, but I will after I get my cable.

There are two .zip files that you need. If you want to give this a try, post your email and I'll send them to you (I can post .zip files on this site).

If you try this, please post your results here too! I'm a little confused over some of the steps, but there is a README.txt in the .zip files. Again, please let us know if this works and how you got it to work!
Thanks - good luck to us all!

HI guys sorry its an email for everybody but i will spend all day long replying to every single one. basically this is the program to download pics and upload ringtones form an L1400. You will need before using it a NET 2.0 framework which you download free from microsoft @ http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

If you have an USB cheep cable it will require prior use its right driver and for people using irda with IrCOMM2k will work perfectlly!

dont forget to set the correct COM port.. thats a mayor problem! If you are not sure which one you are connected to, try with every single port until it works. It's guaranteed that it works!

    Update for us all.

Note - let's keep this thread alive. The HAS to be a way around this!

Here's the deal. Data Pilot does sell software that 'could' allow us to download pictures to our PC. But from what I understand, our phone prohibits that from working....? Any input on this? Work around?

Sounds like Cingular is becoming like Verizon is.
With Verizon they do everything they can to make sure you use GET-IT-NOW and Get Pics, Get Clips so you don't use Blue tooth or a data cable

At least if the phone has Blue tooth Cingular does not mess it up due to Dollars and Cents

I want to transfer pictures from my L1400 to my PC. But at least one company (Data-Pilot) will not sell the software to do the pictures! They say that's due to an agreement with Cingular. That's means on top of everything else, Cingluar will charge me for each picture I take!

How can I transfer pictures from my phone to my computer? Somebody has to make the software for this?

Please help - and thanks for your advise!!
