keep in mind that you cannot use the extended coverage with the city fido plan, so your phone is only good in the lower mainland

ok everyone gets enhanced coverage (acess to rogers towers while in the old fido footprint) to have extended coverage (acess to rogers towers outside fidos footprint) you need to be paying the 5 bucks a month OR have a contract.(like me)

I don't roam on Rogers towers and I find Fido has really good reception. I do however stay within the city so maybe that's why.

now that Fido is part of Rogers, you can use their towers? can anyone confirm? I remember you can. Or add $5 /month and have that ability

well, if you live in vancouver the reception is not great around UBC area.

Since you are currently with Rogers you will notice FAR worse reception / clarity / coverage area with FIDO, however in January(ish) when FIDOees are allowed on to the Rogers network you will be back to the MAD SEEG of Rogers, just make sure you get a phone that has 850MHz. Or better yet just go on the 1340 price plan from Rogers that includes 700 daymins and UL E&Ws for $45/month.

I don't have this plan, but reception is great with Fido, and with the new merger with Rogers, it'll be even better.

i wanna switch to the cityfido plan, but i have herd that the recepition is not that gud with fido?
