I know this sounds like a run-of-the-mill help thread, but I have spent a bit of time running through the archives and researching. I have had my 6000 for about 1 1/2yrs. I have always synced up before, never a problem. Just recently, I upgraded my computer fully, new mobo, another hdd, etc. I wiped clean my master hdd, did a fresh new install of winxp. I then installed sp2. Flawless installation leads me to a problem I haven't seen before, and I haven't seen anything in the archives on this.

When I tried to install the drivers for my cable, they installed correctly. Restarted my comp, plugged in my cable and phone, then a weird message pops up. It said usb device "not recognized". I haven't ever seen that before. Nothing within my phone has changed, to my knowledge. But xp would not recogize my phone. It actually installed the phone as an "uknown device" listed under my device manager. I have tried uninstall, then reinstalling the device as well as the drivers. No luck, comes up the same. Any suggestions I can try?
