I'm disappointed.. I bought a "trucker antenna" - a girlfriend has one and it gets her 3 bars where there was no signal before... I have 1-2 bars of signal but my phone cannot complete at home a call so I figured a little help would do the trick? i SWEAR I have LESS signal with that thing stuck in my phone ... ...

Must be the signal is too far away from me and just bounces over her house (ahh the valley life)

Those stickers in some cases will lower your signal than help it. If it really improved anything the wireless providers would be selling them. If you see a product on TV and in the store it probably works right. If you only see it on TV and not in the store then it probably does not work right.

If you need better signal a 3 watt car booster will work. Only problem is they are $200~$500!! On CDMA you will need to turn it off when you get a good signal without it. The tower will think you are shouting when you are close with a 3 watt booster on and tower will ignor you.

I didn't intentionally buy many of them. When I ordered them, it was buy one get two free. (Apparantly THEY were trying to get rid of them, too.) And I got three of those anti-EMF thingies as a freebie, too. I can't for the life of me remember what they're called. I tried the boosters to see if I could increase the signal of my TracFone (back when I actually used one). I could have put a Cracker Jack tattoo in that phone and it would have increased the signal more. Anyway, we live and learn...

Yeah, really. What are people thinking? I'm sure the bigwigs at Your Cell Company, USA were in their morning meeting saying, "Hmmm, we can invest a quarter of a million dollars for a new tower or we can just put in these fake circuit board looking thingies that cost 1/100th of a cent. What should we do people?"

And who made those things anyway? Fisher Price? Probably, since they're very good at making products with fake knobs and useless levers. Yeah, made by Fisher Price and marketed by Cracker Jack! LOL

    Anyway...

But my question to you all is...has anyone actually bought one? Does it really work? Is it worth it? How effective can these little innovations be? Thanks!
Imagine if these stickers worked, cell phone companies would saved so much money on installing new towers, can't believe people actually buy these things...

When I got my antenna boosters the company also sent me these tiny stick on thingies that are supposed to diffuse radiation so that your brain doesn't rot out from EMF waves or cancer. That was good for a laugh or two.

Oh, yeah. Send me a self-addressed stamped e-mail and I'll send you one of the boosters I didn't use and you can make up your own mind.

I bought several of those adhesive 'under-the-battery' signal boosters for use with my older phone. The results are less than stellar. In fact, I never noticed a difference in the number of bars I got, nor did I actually HEAR a difference in signal quality. I would say don't bother with them.

Check out this page to see what research has shown about these boosters. If you want even more information, just go to Google and type in 'cell phone antenna booster'. You'll get more than you'll ever want to know about them.
