the next step would be to reflash the phone with the software, most don't go through those steps they just ask for a new phone when there's a software issue.

Voice Mail reset doesn't help. I was thinking that maybe a certain software version could be causing the problems. I have not been able to dupliacte the issue on all LG phones just a handful. 3 to be exact.

I think the software version in the LG4015 is reading the messaging from the SMSC incorrectly and data filling the MWI count as 255 for some reason, but I haven't been able to confirm the version of the affected phones.

Has anyone seen or heard of problems with the LG4015 and Voice mail notification.

Specifically getting an incorrect voice mail count of 255 new messages when 1 new message actually comes in?

I have seen this on three different occasions on three different LG4015 phones and can't quite figure out why.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you are sure you don't have any saved messages right?

take the battery out from your phone wait about 30 seconds and re-install the battery and tell if it deletes the message icon..

When I have no voicemail, the voicemail bar still shows up on the screen as well as the voicemail icon in the upper right. Does anyone know how to get this to stop appearing when there's no voicemails? I took the battery out and put it back, but that didn't work. LindaD
