HM? i learned my lesson over at cdmangels, i gave someone instructions on how to go into the debug menu on their Audiovox 9500 so they could changed their banner and the moron ruined his phone and wanted to hold me liable for it....

now i usually ignored such request even though i know one can hack the phone.

You can hack the Verizon off the front and replace it with your own banner. I usually don't show nor tell people how to hack their phone, but this is pretty old, is fairly straight forward, and can be found just about anywhere, so here:

    My Disclaimer start:

YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

If you mess up your phone, don't blame me nor anybody or anything that has to do with this site.

    My Disclaimer end:

Basically what you have to do is using bitpim, download the
eri.bin file. (You do this by going to "View Filesystem" /eri/eri.bin
    and save)

    Make a backup of it.
Using a hex editor (winhex, or 010 Editor)

Within the eri.bin file look for the lines with "Verizon WirelessA"
    and Verizon WirelessB"
Find: Verizon Wireless on the right side.
Place cursor right infront of V
On the left side you will see 5665......737
Now place the cursor infront of the 5665 and start typing 0 (zeros)
You will see Verizon Wireless on the right being overwritten with a '.' (period)
Type 0s until you cover up everything from 5665 to 737

Then do the same thing with the second Verizon Wireless.

Make sure to leave the A and the B.

Now upload the edited eri.bin file to your phone. To do this go to
view filesystem again, right click on eri.bin, and select overwrite.

Once this is done, reboot your phone, and the verizon wireless banner
    will be gone.

your front banner only shows up when you don't have service. thats what the front banner is for. it's a placeholder for the verizon wireless banner

Your 7k is not designed to display a personal banner on the front display.
