I used to work for t-mobile i am quite familar with most of their phones, I am currently using the samsung p735... it is the best phone ive ever used... Ive had it since january and the battery still works like new, no crashing or any other problems to report. the only thing i dont like is i accidently hit the camera button if i flip it open (star trek style ) with my right hand. Ive used every phone t-moblie has put out since before they bought out voicestream. if anyone has questions feel free to ask

I would either go with the Samsung p735, or the Motorola Razr V3

to tell ya the truth, i have mixed feeling about the razr (yea, its BT). the samsung slider is not really in my boat either. took notice of the V800 and some nokia 6xxx models, but reviews on gsmarena.com aren't very bright.

does anyone know if the V800 will work in america? (its a g3 phone)

Hi all you cell phone people.

I am usually pretty tech savvy, and thus an active member on notebookforums.com, so if you ever need help finding a laptop, I might be able to help. Unfortunatly this is not true of cell phones, for god's sake i am using a Nokia 3595 right now (it was free...don't laugh). So I come here to cellphoneforums.net to seek help.

My service provider is T-Mobile and I live in the greater chicago area.

This is basically what I am looking for:
    Budget - up to $500
Screen - inside and out, both color 64k color or better
    Cam - VGA or better
BT - yes, any version, 1.1, 1.2 or 2.0 is fine (1.2 probably best pick)
MUST WORK WITH T-MOBILE GSM NETWORK!!!

Brands wise I'd like to keep it main stream if possible. So what I am gonna do is label some brands in degrees (1 being most wanted 2 less so ...etc)

    Degree 1 (most wanted):
    Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson

    Degree 2:
    LG, Siemens, Toshiba, Samsung

    Degree 3:
    Mitsubishi, Panasonic

    Degree 4 (least wanted):
    Benq, i-mate, ASUS

why do i rate them like that? it all has to do with how easy it is to get accessories. To be honest, I love the ASUS J105, however it has no BT so i can't buy it (i must have BT) and accessories are hard to get.

I guess what I am trying to say is don't take the degrees seriously, althouth it would help that the phone is a more common brand for accessory sake, it doesn't have to be as long as it looks nice, the features are good and the price is right.

    Thanks for the help.
