    Unfortunately no, your not missing anything. That's just the way the phone is; and also the 3200.

    Sorry. It is a good phone in all other area's.

    Hi, I just got a new VX3300 via Verizon. The one drag about this phone (as far as I can tell) is that when closed, you have no indication that a message (missed call, text page, etc.) is waiting unless you open it up and look.

    For example, if I put the phone on my desk and walk away for a few minutes, I'll never know I got a call unless I open it up.

    The "2 minute reminder" does what I want, but it only does it once. I would have expected that the LED status indicator would be useful for this purpose too, but alas it seems not to be.

    Am I missing it, or is this just the way it is?
