It may be that it's edited on the screen you may ahve to change the service provider name manually. You can do this by following the how change your service provider name in the motorola forum

You said you switched from cingular to t-mobile. Is your phone unlocked? If not unlocked then it wont work with another provider. It it was working with cingular before then you need to unlock it before you can use with t-mobile.

Did you consider that you might be roaming on Cingular's network? Where are you located?

well are you still able to make calls? i have a black v3 from cingular that i use with t-mobile and it works fine. One thing you might want to try is going to your settings, "network", "network setup", and make sure the "band" and "type" fields are all on automatic, and for "speed" put it on slow. Then it will do another network search when finish these steps and hopefully it will work. The reason i say to do this is since your v3 is euro, the band setting might be on their networks, so by setting it to automatic and using your t-mo sim, it should pick up a t-mo signal.

I tried doing a manual network search and all that was available was Cingular (2) of them to be exact. My sister is just next door to me in her room & her's says T-Mobile (and searchs up T-Mobile and Cingular as available networks). Could it just be the phone? The silver is T-Mobile, the black is Cingular? Not really sure if that matters, however this black one is Euro (it came with a Euro charger).
