    They also sell a 3 watt cellular amplifier which I was going to buy but did not need it after I got the antenna. I thought I would try the antenna first and see if it was enought. It was so I saved some money and passed on the amplifier.

    I'm not sure about these.

    There are several that include a linear amplifier that boost your power output to three watts and are effective in rural areas...
    ...and theoretically, an antenna SHOULD help.

    But the notion that 'one size fits all' is not something I would buy into.
