get them from www.cbfmobile.com. They're free - and NO registration is required! The only charge you recieve is your standard wap bill. I reccomend you try it - it's the only site I've found that really does them for free.

www.vtext.com is for text messages. www.vzwpix.com for pix/midi attachments... if you have a text package the messages sent from there are free

    https://www.vzwpix.com/ .....works for me!

I don't know about the sites... most likely its to send the # to your phone, but I haven't ever tried since I had the folks here at CPF to tech me how to do it safely for myself

(and then the fact that the kinda tones I want aren't ...errrmmm... the usual.... I struggled to learn to do MP3's because of the text painting in NY Voices "Come Home"....)

So on these sites where you have to enter your cell phone number, they are safe?

For whatever reason I have it in my head that when I do, I will get a bunch of telemarketers calling my cell. As website being a way to get your number

That vzwpix.com link is dead also

Alrighty... if you are satisfied with MIDI ringers you can download then from the ringtones forum here on CPF (check the dropdown box in the bottom, right corner of this page (All the "get it now" tones are midi...)

You may have to cut the midi to under a minute if it isn't already.. www.anvilstudio.com has free software that'll do it

go to vzwpix.com register and use their upload tool to upload it to the interface then send it to your phone number if you don't have a text package then upload a few so you only get charged the .25 once

when your phone receives it you have the option of saving it .... Umm... do that . You can set it as your general ringtone or just save and go through your addy book to save it for an individual

(I don't have the v260 so I hope this works! Works on my e815.. feel free to PM me for help with cutting midis)

Just bought my first cell phone, Have verizon, and a motorola v260 phone. The ringtones that came on it are really, REALLY terrible and I want to get some good ones. On the phone theirs a Get it Now thing to use but it charges like 2 bucks a download or 10 for 15 etc.

I see sites online that say free ringtones, but u have to enter your cell phone number, So i assume its a way to get your number on a list so I get 20 sales calls a day so Im shying away

I did a forum search, read a small tidbit about connecting cell phone to your PC and transfering ringtones, but Not sure if its me but the forum search doesnt work that well so I cant read further.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated
