If you;re in it for the midi may I suggest our siter site http://midibuddy.net

to answer the question let me quote the FAQ's
Everyone wants something for nothing but the world, let alone cellphoneforums.net, cannot exist on that basis. We ask for your participation in the community through your posts - a simple matter of a few moments of your time, in exchange for free ringtone files and games, free advice/support, and a place for commiseration with other cellphone enthusiasts. Cellphoneforums.net ceases to be a community that can host the files you desire without your participation.

The rest is a simple matter of economics. Hosting something the size of the cellphoneforums site costs money, advertising earns money. If 90+% of our board membership is inactive, then the site does not sustain the traffic needed to support itself through advertising. Earning CPF$ to pay for downloading requires our membership to remain active and open pages with content from our advertising partners. That generates revenue to cover the hosting costs.
