ok, good for you. Maybe the 'pay as u go' account has that included. But i am surprised.

I called T-Mobile today, and they told me that I am not charged for incoming text messages. Only outgoing ones. I have the pay as you go account, so maybe that is different

Please check with T-mo. I dont know if you singed up with some promotion where they had free incoming messages. Otherwise incoming messages are also charged at 5 cents each. I know, i pay 5 cents for a few messages that I receive.

My service is the T-Mobile to go pay as you go, and I think text messages are free to receive, but cost to send. Hope that is correct.

make sure you dont get charged for the text messages.
I am with t-mo and i asked if I can turn off text messages, they told me there was no way. So whether u like it or not, if someone sends u a sms, u get charged 5 cents by t-mo. Of course if you have subscribed to text messaging then it is ok, only a nuisance.
