I have a 1 gig transflash card. I down loaded one song to test from my computer. After I insert it into my phone(e815) it doesn't show the song. It just shows empty. It shows that I have no songs. What am I doing wrong? I down loaded it from windows media player to my pda. Then I insert it to my phone.

    THanks,

I have a new E815 which I find every day is smarter than I. I have tried the above instructions to use the mp3 portion of the phone with no luck. I can not seem to get a playlist formed. What am I doing wrong?
Let me see if I can help you, go to Media Gallery, go to Sounds, scroll down to the bottom to "new playlist", hit ok, give it a name then go down to "audio files", then scroll through your audio files and check each song you want on the playlist. Then to use the playlist just scroll down to it under sounds, hit ok and it should play through the list. If you are having other issues, let us know and we can help you further.

Good to know I was having a problem with a couple of songs, and now I realize the name was too long, thanks for the info.

Here's what it seems to be; whatever one word is in the name, be it the artist's name or the name of the song, cannot be over 12 characters.

For instance, this is one of the songs I have on my card:

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Red White And Blue

That is definately over 12 characters total, but not one word individually is over the 12 character limit.

Now if I would have put let's say periods from the artists name to the name of the song, I would have went over the 12 character limit.

    Lynyrd Skynyrd.....Red White And Blue

As you can see, where I have it bolded would go over.

That kind of make sense now?

I found/solved a problem I was having with some of my songs. First, the name of the song cannot be over 12 characters long.

This one is one that took me awhile to figure.....but some of the songs on my computer somehow put periods in between the artist and the song. They will not play nor show up on your phone. Even if there is one period, it won't play nor show up.

That is the biggest obsticle I have had to work with so far. It is also best to format the card with the phone first and then hook it up to your computer not the other way around.

if some of them dont work or even show up when you try to play them on phone then play them on the computer 1st from the card and this should fix that problem.

switch storage devices: (had to get the phone ) hit the menu key while in the sounds menu and it is an option there... note: "new" is also an option, you can use it to create a playlist... start the player, click "hide" and you can close your phone and listen

Just got a Moto E815 and want to playback some mp3`s. I bought a 128M card and a Transflash adapter. I put some mp3`s on the card and inserted it to the phone. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to play the darn mp3`s. Any help for the technically challenged? Thank you

    Jeff
