You've got that one right! For me, the next time FIDO comes out with a "real deal", I will do my homework. It seems that FIDO "real deal" phones are the ones that are soon to be discontinued and have the least amount of support. The LG 2000 is basically a good phone. The problem with it is that the support structure from FIDO and LG is driven by greed rather than service.

I learned my lesson. Next time I supposedly upgrade to a new phone, I'll do a little research and make sure they make there is support for the phone before I buy it.

Was that for just the data cable or did they throw in some sort of software as well? What is the actual number designation on the data cable?

I am really sorry to hear you got stung with this software. I just wish you had the opportunity to read my comments before you dropped the bucks. Hopefully they will develop something that actually works with the LG 2000 or at least give you your money back.

Oh, Susteen.....great anguish with them right now.
I have an open call ticket for this exact problem right now...bought the whole transfer suite universal USB package because the online shops AND guys at Best Buy said it would work...
It does not have c2000 listed...
If you set it to 'c1500' it will recognize the phone but only does phone book transfer. Other settings are similar...big waste of time and money.
So I leave a ticket and say 'Is Susteen going to add the C2000 becasue it is not currently supported adn I just wasted my money' - they respond by saying 'Sorry - your phone is not suported at this time'
What great help that was!!! I kinda figured that out when I installed it and the c2000 did not come up in the dropdown list.. not happy.

If anyone comes up with some solutions here, I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know. i will do the same.

    RE: DATA PILOT

If anyone wants to try this program before dropping the big buck, a trial version can be downloaded from TUCOWS. It definitely does NOT support the LG 2000 or the LG C2000.

Actually I have the LG 2000 which is the same phone as the LG C2000. So far, the only way to move pictures is to email them to yourself which can get expensive depending on your provider. No, Data Suite will not work. You have use the USB adapter that came with Data Suite and download load the software that I wrote about from the web site on the package.

I just checked the list of supported cellphones from the Susten Data Pilot site. The LG C2000 and LG 2000 are NOT listed.

I got the 30 cable and software in today. No, it does not work at all with my LG C2000 phone! I will be returning it. Is there anything that will work??

So, do you have a LG C2000? How can you get the pictures to your computer then??

I have just installed Data Suite for the LG 2000. I'll start off by talking about what it DOES with an LG 2000 or LG C2000.

    1. It is an excellent contact manager package.
    2. It is an excellent message management package.

What it DOES NOT do with an LG 2000 or LG C2000.

    1. You CANNOT control ringtones.
    2. You CANNOT do anything with MP3
    3. You CANNOT do any video composing
    4. You CANNOT do any photo manipulation
    5. You CANNOT manipulate files

    The interesting thing with this package is that the CD that is provided is useless if you have an LG 2000 or LG C2000 phone. The CD is great and full featured IF you have a;

    LG G4015, LG G4050, LG L1400, LG L1150, LG L1200 or LG F9100

So why is it advertised as supporting the LG 2000 and LG C2000? WELL...the answer to that question has to do with the USB cable. You need the USB cable (MA-8020P) in order to use the software you REALLY need which is found at www.mobileaction.com This software is actually free BUT it is configured only for the MA-8020P which is what you actually pay for with this package.

In my opinion, this is less than a full featured package for the LG 2000 or LG C2000 which the web page indicates you are getting. On the positive side, it at least gives you something

I would like to hear if the $30 software & cable package allowed you to communicate with your c2000, download the pictures & such.

Can the LG C2000 be connected to laptop with a USB data cable and be used as a modem? I ordered the data suite (Data Suite For LG F9100, G4015, G4050, L1150, L1200, L1400, C1500, C2000) and it says it can. But, on other sites, it says "no modem support for the LG C2000". Please help.

I even search the internet and one person said that the LG 2000 cable is the exact same cable as the LG 1400. Then I found an online store that sells usb data cables for many different models including the LG 2000 http://cell-phone-accessories-wholes...D&ProdID=12514 but I'm not entirely sure it would work.
I also read up on the internet that the LG 2000 cell phones are exactly the same as the LG C2000, so will the data cable work with my phone? or should I buy a LG 1400 data cable? or should wait long and patiently for the LG data cable to come out?
I realized I forgot to answer the original question, lol. Cellphoneshop.com has the cable AND software for the LGc2000! Only $30.
