    We are still trying to figure out how to use True Tones with the phone.

    If anyone has purchased a True Tone and is willing to send it to me, I'm sure I can find out how to do it.

    Thanks,

    Limedrink.

    Glad I can help.

    As far as games go, I have not tried it. Embedded within the jar files are links that the phone will go to that will charge the client for it (from my observations). Games are stored in different formats for different phones and providers.

    The only way to get games is to copy them from one Telus A650 phone to another. I only want a simple game like pong or something.

    The phonebook is stored differently on each phone as well. Not sure where it is on the A650. It could also be in a single file, which is what I am lead to believe.

    Thanks Limedrink, I got it working with the kind help of you and others that posted on this forum. Thank you!

    Any luck getting a game to work on your phone? How about the phonebook?

    Thanks again!

    There will be nothing under those directories if you have not downloaded any content from Telus.

    I am not able to download my entire filesystem either, and I do receive errors, this is normal.

    You should not need to delete your amsregistry file; the changes are immediate.

    If you have anymore questions feel free to let me know.

    Sorry I did not have the reply posted, I didn't manage to find the time to write up the results.

    For the others who have never downloaded any backgrounds, I have attached the required files.

    Cat.body -> actual .png file
    Cat -> link file

    To use this, change the extension from your existing .png file to .body and rename the Cat file to the name of your original .png file (without the .png extension).

    For the ringtones, it works the same way. Rename the .mid file to .body and rename the attached 'Ringtone' file to the name of the original .mid file (without the .mid extension).

    Attachments can be found at: http://www.limedrink.com/a650/

    If anyone has downloaded a game on their cell phone, can you please attach the game from your /U/GA (or /u/JA -not sure-)? That will allow me to find the format of how the games are stored on the phone.

    That should basically cover everything.

    Many thanks to brownting for figuring all of this out with me!

    Limedrink, I have the same phone as you A650 from Telus and I've connected using BitPim 0.7.36. I can see the Files System but can't see anything under:

    Images/wallpaper go into \u\WP
    or
    Ringtones go into \u\RT

    I wanted to remove the amsregistry file and let my phone rebuild but I can't even back up the phone using BitPim it craps out after the progress indicator reaches "19/110 Getting files" then a application pop up that says "the phone is not responding". I'm using the SPH-A620 setting as the site above suggests. I can see the system directory but nothing appears under \u\RT

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    I have scoured the net looking for info regarding the mode from the previous page commands for Verizon enabled phones, but alas to no avail. Has anyone any ideas on how to unlock it for bitpim use?
