    What's so horrendous about the error, is it gives the user the feeling like it's backing up *everything*. No warnings whatsoever about "not in this type of memory..."

    I'd say its got to do with some on the SIM and some on the phones memory, What phone do you have btw?

    Have 528 phone #'s

    Nokia Software Suite is backing up the name, but not the number for a bunch of them.

    They are the more recent #'s added.

    Does it back up both phone memory numbers as well as GSM chip numbers?


    Losing data as part of the backup process is like a cardinal sin of software.

    Looks like Nokia's software is doing just that.
