Its the button on the oposite side of the web button. After you click on it click the shopping cart then hit clr.

They should. The 8910 and 8915 are virtually identical.

However, there will be a difference between a Verizon version, and a Virgin one, as Verizon firmware is BREW enabled, and Virgin isn't. But a Verizon 8910 and 8915 are basically the same, just like the Flasher and Snapper are.

Also, do you need to do that for EACH ringtone you put on the phone or can you put, say, five tones in the directory and THEN do the Menu, 4, 1, ok, clr thing??

Your welcome Yes you can do it with or without the phone still connected and with more than one tone.

You have no idea how many hours....even days, I have spent trying to get ringtones uploaded to my phone without paying $3 a pop for them. I looked everywhere and tried every solution I found, but to no avail. I had really about had it for another night when I saw your post and thought...."What the heck...probably a different carrier but I'll give it a shot anyway."

I've got an Audiovox 8910 with US Cellular as my carrier. I didn't think I'd EVER get past EasyEdge. Your directions worked like a charm. The problem I was having was getting the phone to see the ringtones I put in the directory. Like I said....I went about it in MANY different ways (and am QUITE surprised I didn't ruin my phone altogether). I did get one other way to work but nowhere near as well as the way you said to do it. What a mess. I had to picture message a ringtone to myself and save it to the media center. Something awful happened to the sound quality in that translation and it changed the file extension to some bizarre extension that I never heard of. You could barely hear the ringtone when the phone rang. I fixed that problem by overwriting the file sent to my phone with the original file on my computer. That fixed the low volume problem but there was a long delay in the start of the ringtone when a call was received.

Thanks for the info. I followed the directions, and successfully get a ringtone into the phone, only it plays once and stops - it doesn't loop as long as the phone is ringing. I tried uploading the file as .mp3, and .mid (thought it's still the mp3 file) with same result. A true midi sequence as .mid I uploaded does loop.

Any clues?

yea i need help to hope some1 answers i got 8910 with verizon on pay as you go

Hi,
Does anybody know what format and what bitrate a ringtone for the 8910 is?
I want to make my own tones from my music files on my computer. Also what program can i use to convert the files?

One last thing. I tried to send my own recorded memos from my phone to myself and when I tried to save media it said there is an error saying: Object not saved! [Unknown Object]

If anybody can help me with any of these problems i would appreciate it.
