That's because the v810 is a CDMA phone, again the MPX220 is a GSM phone....

because my cousin got a Motorola V810 phone and activated it with cricket just yesterday but he said it was already a cricket. I think he said it was a U.S. Cellular. But how do you make into a cricket phone. Do change some number inside the cell or do you connect it with some and reprogram it? Thanks

Not possible, Cricket is a CDMA carrier, the MPX220 is a GSM phone..
Cricket Communications (a subsidiary of Leap Wireless) is a mid-size multi-regional carrier. Their network uses CDMA 1xRTT in the PCS (1900 MHz) band.
