yah, you might want to give two options on your sigt. Midi or mp3, for those with less space and less compatability.

Awesome! Thanks for the info I'm looking at it now. Hidden Content I'm already familiar with w3schools, I didn't think to check them for info on WAP coding.

    Thanks again,

Hidden Content offers a tutorial in writing a wap site Hidden Content we look forward to seeing your work!

...of course, if you do create an actual web page for now, people who know how to get a tone from the web to their phone (via usb cord, email, micro SD card, or whatever) could start downloading your stuff now Hidden Content . I dunno about others, but if you can make an mp3 file of 200kb or less I can get it onto my Verizon e815 Hidden Content ...and most phones go to voicemail after 30-45 seconds so no need to make them long... I assume you have editing software, but "goldwave" has a demo period hat's worth looking in to

Well, the majority of the newer cell phones are capable of playing truetones(mp3 format). Although, it is really up to you to choose what file format to have your ringers. I am not positive on how to set up a WAP site, but there are plenty of people on here that do have that information. If you do a quick search, im pretty sure you can get some hlep on how to get started.

Yep thats exactly what I'm hoping to do as far as adding a section to our current site for the ringtones. I do a bit of web design so I'm up for doing a WAP page/site, I just need to know the basics what it takes.

My band's site is Hidden Content and myspace.com/mankindisobsolete

Thanks for the help, do you have any tips on how to get started, what file format do the ringtones need to be in to work with the most used phones (we're based in the US).

    Thanks,
    -Nathan

the best thing, i would say, for you to do is to start a WAP webpage. That way, people can access from their cell phones. What kind of band do are you in? Like, what kind of music is it? Also, if you have a website for your band, you could also create a section for free ringers to download through the internet.

    Hello

I'm trying to figure out how to host my own ringtones for my band. I don't want to charge people for downloading them, it would just be a free thing for fans to have. I'm already used to hosting media like our songs and videos, but I'm thinking free ringtones of our music would be pretty cool. If anyone has any pointers i'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    -Nathan
