you don't have to go with a blackberry if you don't want to front the extra monthly. Judging you by the fact that you still have the i1000 (hahaha) probably most on this forum were not born when that thing came out.

The blackberry would double your montly. Go with any nextel and any web plan that has mobile email. (you must have a cable or dsl connection at work or home). It is a little program that runs on your computer it will give you access to your outlook calander, contacts, tasks, and email from home. You can make changes, send emails, and do just about everything from your phone. It also notifies you via alerts. You could even add it now to your phone that you have. They buy the QWERT keyboard about $40 +/-. There is none for the i1000.

Web access is fine... a bit slow at times but it works great for what I need "on the go" i use yahoo and google with no problems but I have no experience with google mail. I would really suggest you visiting www.blackberryforums.com you'll find the most BB info there... Good Luck

Given RIM's legal problems, how will this impact the BB 7520?

The BlackBerry 7520 sounds like an option.

    Do you agree?
    Any suggestions?
I think the BB 7520 is the only Nextel phone witha Qwerty Keyboard. So its probally your only option
