    hmmm. that seems pretty odd. maybe you should start a thread asking why it does that, instead of 'cingular go phones.'

    what i know is if you have a phone lock to cingular and putting a cingular sim (prepaid or plan) you not gonna have a problem.

    I have 2 questions.

    I own a nokia 6010 that is on the Cingular network. I was wondering if I could purchase a cingular go phone (i.e. 3120) for $29 and if I could take the SIM card out of my 6010 and use it in the 3120 go phone without issue.

    My wife also has a 6010 from Cingular, when I swap SIM cards between her 6010 and my 6010, I get a phone restricted error on both phones. I thought you should be able to switch your SIM chip between any two phones on the same network. Does this have to do with unlocking the phone?
