If you do decide to get the LG 5225, be sure to check if the ESN is clear. If the phone has been reported lost/stolen or if there is still a balance that was left on it, then you would not be able to activate it.

Depending on the condition of the phone the price sounds fair...
Another LG that you may want to look into is the LG PM225, it has good RF and good earpiece volume as well as camera and full duplex speaker phone feature > LG MP225

Im thinking about buying the LG 5225 to use with sprint. ANybody have this phone, any suggestions... do you think its a fair price to buy this phone for $45 used?
