Also one point that RR didnt include.. IF you do happen to send a text to any of those companys and more..they usually have a code such as 5934 or 777 to STOP getting daily text messages or anything like that... its usually on the bottom of the text or inital email they send u, keep that in mind if you ever become interested in any of these services...Simply putting STOP, most of the time wont work, nothing works except their code that they assign...

mdbsat, I know that there is definately ways to download things to your sidekick that are not exclusively from t-mobile. I have to admit that the sidekick is not my strong point. I know little things here and there.

I do, however, have to warn you against sending a text message to anything you see on TV or any advertisement you see on the internet asking you to send a text message. Many services offer free FIRST TIME downloads, however, the money is in the fine print. I'm very used to people walking into my store angry about their bills, they think that T-Mobile is overcharging them. However, when I look at their bills, I can tell that it is not T-Mobile, they are actaully being billed for outside services such as jamster, dadamobile, blinko, friends4life, etc...

All in all, it's good to avoid sending txt messages to any advertisements you may see for free ringtones, wallpapers, or games.

There are ways to get these things for free. Keep posting, I'm sure many here will know. I'm curious to know myself how to get things for the Sidekick.
