Most operators support IMEI blocking now, If you registered your phone with your operator they will have the IMEI on phile and can kill the phone that way.

The reason I ask is coz I lost my phone, and somebody must've picked it up and is not returning it. I blocked the simcard in that phone (a 6680) so I could still use my old number on my 6610 (which is the phone I'm using now). So, I don't have the number that's in use with my 6680, but I do have the IMEI number.

call your carrier and tell them to put the IMEI number on a black list (stolen/lost phones)

Call the carrier and ask what they can do about it
