Check the camera settings: Make sure that the camera is set to photo or video mode, depending on what you're trying to do. You can access the camera settings by opening the camera app and pressing the left or right arrow key on your phone.

P.S. I'm sorry for my English.

Oh, sorry guys.. i forgot to give some feedback in this issue...
Anyways, i solved the problem next day I posted here..
I took apart the lower flip part (back of the keypad) and checked for the connection of the flex cable.. took it out, cleaned it up and put it back again.. i tried the camera.. and got it back to work..
probably it was just a bit loose..
check if that works.. otherwise.. i would check the upper flip part and check again the flex cable connection.. if that doesnt work. then you will need to change the flex cable.. they get damaged really easy..
Note: If you dont know how to take apart yout phone.. google for a 6101 housing full installation.. it will give you an idea.. it's not that hard..
    Hope this help you ..
    Cheers

when the camera is in standby there is the options down the bottom 'options' 'continue' and 'exit'

pressing on continue gives me another operation failed message then goes back to 'camera on standby'

and there is no settings in options for having the camera on standby
