    change the bitrate and frequency...if you haven't already.

    what are the specs of the ringer? if you can, post the ringer up here.

    Ok I am new to making my own ringtones. I was making a MP3 tone for my husbands Motorola V555 using Audacity. When I listened to it on his phone the song played fine, but the phones speaker was making a rattling sound, like as though there was too much bass. I know that there is nothing wrong with the speaker all his other ringtones sound fine. This is not the first ringtone I have made for him. the other tones I made were not real heavy on the bass & they turned out fine. I tried to adjust the gain, but that makes the song come out way too low by the time I get it low enough that the speaker doesn't rattle. Please help!
