Thanks RRODRIG30 . My minutes do not expire till April 2007 , so the question was more to satisfy my curiosity. I did ask the same question to a TOGO rep on the phone and I got a roundabout answer. I was wondering if you or anyone else here had the 'insider' information to the real algorithm to recalculate minutes.

Based on your answer, looks like I would end up getting a 'blended' rate of 12c a minute. It makes sense if the desire is to always error in favor of the customer.

stl1859, it appears that everything should be re-calculated in order to make answer B the correct choice - $30 / 250 minutes.

I see your point in your other post though. I have noticed some customers that get 500 minutes when they buy a $50 card. Under Gold Rewards, the $50 card is supposed to give 460 minutes. I have seen it work to their advantage in those cases.

I haven't seen it work to their dis-advantage, however, I would immediately call the To-Go customer service number in case it ever did. Retail store employees do not have access to pre-pay accounts, or else I'd try to fix it myself.

(sigh) again not if you keep up with your expiration date then you'll not lose anything if you not satisify with this question, and I sugguest you dial 877-778-2106 to reach To Go Customer Care for further questions.

I am aware of the expiration date rule, and that was not my question. My question was what happens to the minutes? Do they get recalculated based on the new tier, and would this mean that if you went from a higher denomination card to a lower denomination card , you would end up losing minutes even though your dollar balance would appear to have been carried over?

In my experience this happens when you go from a lower denomination card to a higher denomination card. For example I was at $8.50 / 34 minutes and I added a $100 card, I went to $108.50 / 1085 minutes - i.e. I gained 51 minutes in the process. My question is would I lose minutes when I go the other direction?

He meant that with gold reward if you get 100.00 card that will give with out any expiration date for 1 year. If that so 20.00 remaining and expire tmw then its time for you get buy some more card to increase expire date at least 30 days would be 10.00 card and bring you remaining 30.00 in your funds if you add it before expire. (I wasn't able to edit first post I said eariler, however admin specific how edit should be use within 10 min but if Admin read that go ahead and delete right above my post)

Everyday is still count if u never use the phone for few days and make sure you replenish more dollars in ur acct before anything happen to expire much sooner otherwise it will be lost. Yeah like RRODRIG30 says 100.00 will give you 1 year.
As long you keep buying dollars value than 100.00 more often beyond your expire date to keep all of ur remaining minutes/dollars. I think this svc would be the best than all prepaid svc and I don't remember any prepaid is the best than this like I had experience the most expensive that I know of. Yuppers T-Mobile To Go is the best!

$10 = 30 minutes, 30 days to use the minutes
$25 = 130 minutes, 90 days to use the minutes
$50 = 400 minutes, 90 days to use the minutes
$100 = 1000 minutes, 1 year to use the minutes

Say you've got 50 minutes that are about to expire, if you buy any card mentioned above you're minutes will be extended depending on what card you buy.

Once you have spent over $100 in buying minute cards, all your minutes roll over for 1 year, plus you get more minutes per card.

If you dont use your minutes by the expiration date, then they will no longer exist, but if say you got like $2.10 left on the account and go and buy a $10.00 card, then yes your $2.10 will roll over and your total amount will be $12.10.

I was thinking about getting the t-mobile to go and I was wondering if you dont use all your minutes, when you go to buy a refill card, will the the unused balance "rollover" onto the new blanace?
