Not a problem. The best time to call is in the morning. Not sure why, but when we call the customer service line (we use the same number that you guys use), we usually don't wait more than 5 minutes. I think you're just having random bad luck, perhaps the time of the day. Since you're in Alberta, you could phone them at 6am since the call center is in Ontario.

Browsing, hmmmmm. Tell me what plan you have. You said you had a family share plan. Did it include a bonus 1000 long distance minutes ? Waived activation fees ?

As for the picture messaging, it cost $5 to add on unlimited picture messaging (You only add it to the prime phone, the mate phone will share it). It's well worth the money, compared to "pay-per-use" which costs 50 cents each time you send a picture.

Thanks I was going to call and ask but every time I have tried to get on the phone it's a HUGE wait to get a representative or they are closed.

Now I just wonder how m uch browsing will cost and what it will cost to upload the pictures I take with the camera.

I think I might just have to call them though and sit through the bad background music.

Thank you for replying to my post!

All phones have the ability to send text messages. The reason why you probably can't is this:

You MUST put the area code in to send text. Example, if your phone number is 444-1111 and you live in Calgary, then in order to send a text message someone would have to text you at 4034441111.

Text is 15 cents a message to send, free to receive.

Downloading costs extra. Viewing the list counts as web browsing.

Your account number will appear on your first bill, in the top corner.

My dh and I signed up for the family plan with Bell.

I was just wondering How on earth do you find out what you pay for what?

An example..... text messaging? When I'm on the family plan what does it cost to send one and what do I do TO send one. I tried it wouldn't go.

My dh is the Main user so I'm just the MATE (don't even get me started on this. because boy they made me mad) is this why I can't send a text message I wonder?

another is the web browser and does downloading ring tones and games count as web browsing??

How do you figure out what your account number is? The papers they gave us were basicly the contract but there was no account number on it.

I'm a newbie so I really appreciate any responses I might get.

    Thanks
    Vic
