brad, telus is confusing, but i think they offer regular cdma coverage, and then anotherbranch called 'mike' uses the iden and ptt.

i always have to google to find telus' technology when someone asks "will my rokr work on telus if i move to alberta next summer?" Hidden Content

Well, that didn't really answer my question so I had to go do some research. It turns out that Telus offers both iDEN and CDMA service under one roof. Regardless of this fact, are you SURE you read the entire thread I posted a link to above? It lists a lot of different ways to transfer files, and I was sure one of them would work for you as long as your provider doesn't have free uploads blocked out.

I couldn't get a clear and definite answer on this one, but I used our site's search feature (I'm telling you it's a beautiful thing, you should try it sometime) and some people said they thought Telus was blocking the free upload sites and others said their Telus phone had blocked use of a data cable for free file transfers, but nobody seemed to know for sure.

I do not have an answer for that one, if I were you I would post in the Telus forum and make your title descriptive enough that people will know what you are asking before they open your post. I'd go with "Is Telus blocking free file uploads/transfers?" and see if you can get a response from someone that knows. PLEASE try some of the options in that other post though before you start a new thread.

First of all, have you tried to email files as attachments to your phone's email address? This works for some phones and not for others. At the end of this post I am going to give you both a link to another thread that *might* be able to help, but first I am going to try to address each phone separately.

I could be wrong, but to the best of my knowledge you need a data cable to send things to an iDEN phone. The uploader I use would not work on my brother-in-law's Nextel phone or on another friend's Boost. I plugged them into my moto data cable and used webjal to transfer some files over. If the thread at the bottom of this post doesn't help (and please read all the way through it before you repost), I would suggest perhaps asking in the Nextel forum, but make your title's a little more descriptive this time, like "How can I send files to my i760" and maybe someone there can help. Wait a minute, am I wrong or is Telus a Canadian iDEN network? According to information I've found, v710 is a CDMA phone that works with Verizon, Alltel, Qwest, and US Cellular. This bit of confusion caused me to answer your question wrong the first time and I had to quickly delete and repost before I made myself sound like an idiot. If your phone is actually iDEN then the first answer I gave probably applies (that is, if I'm not wrong about that and I'm not the iDEN expert around here) Hidden Content

(In the future questions like these can probably be answered if you'll try our search with a few well-chosen keywords, saves everybody time when the answer is already there.) Hidden Content
