Well lets just say, if he does want to sign up for a new contract with them, im sure he can get it for alot cheaper than 200.00, right? If not, then yeah, its gonna be alot more than 200.00. If price is a factor and you cant afford the 9000, then the 8300 is a GREAT phone. Its has some of the features the 9000 has, minus the megapixel camera, and some others.. but it does cost 310.00 ( it says 279.00 but with tax, it comes out to 310.00 even ) well in mass it does, your state could have a slightly higher or lower tax.. mass is 5 percent.. let us know your choice!!!

hey brad, if you were almost drooling over the 8300, you will probably pass out and faint over the 9000!!!!! do you guys want to see some pics of my phone(S)? i can take pics of my sanyo 9000 AND sidekick2 if u want.. although im sure uve all seen them...
Actually I love the 9000 too but since I have family in rural parts of Georgia I need a phone with AMPS for analog roaming when I get out in the middle of nowhere, and it seems all the new megapixel cameras are missing AMPS . I didn't even think to suggest it, but it's more than the $200 after-rebate that we were originally discussing. Still, thanks for bringing it up in case our friend decides to spend a little more for an awesome megapixel phone .

Holy Cow!!! Do you mean to say sales tax in MA is 11%??? It's only 7% in my county and 6.5% for most of the rest of Florida. In Georgia it's only 6%. I always thought Cali was the only state with tax that high, but I guess I was wrong about that!

Sorry that's a bit off-topic... no reply is needed Renizay, I just felt an exclamation was in order!

actually your right, brad. it is infact 279.00, i had to think about that for a minute, it totals out to be 310.00 though, with tax. i dont know why i thought it was 199.00.. hmm, odd. oh well, my fault, thank u for correcting my mistake brad. ALSO, IF you want a really nice phone and moneys no problem for u, i have the sanyo 9000 right now and i LOVE it, its 10 times better than the 8300!!!! but its a costly 400.00 IF you already have a contract with sprint, if u dont, im sure its ALOT cheaper.. unfortunatly, i was desperate enough for this beatiful phone that i paid the 400, 450.00 after taxes and esn swap price... =) and i can happily say, i am NOT regretting it one bit, almost 2 months later now. i WAS going to sell it about 3 days ago when i realized how much in LOVE with my sidekick2 i am, but i decided, hey.. ill keep em both!! combined, 2500 minutes, all for 100.00!! whos better then ME?? =)

That is a very nice phone but last time I was at the Sprint Store I think they wanted a lot more than that for one... but I just looked and it came down a bit so right now it's only $279.99 BUT you can get it for $79.99 after instant rebate on a new contract. Sooo, if you're signing up for a new contract I'd likely go with Renizay's suggestion. Let's just say when I tried that phone out at the store, I had to check to make sure I wasn't drooling LMAO ooh ooh and it's a video camera so you can make your own VIDEO RINGERS

i would have to say the Sanyo 8300! absalutely.. its only about 199.00 and you can probably get even more rebates, it comes in a few diffrent colors, included in the box is 2 face plates, that slide into place and lock. its a really nice phone, i LOVE sanyo! also, i noticed that the samsungs are nice phones as well, and MUCH more customizable. but if u want durablity, id go with the sanyo 8300... i wish i had some pictures of it before i got rid of it, but i dont. im sure u can type sanyo 8300 pictures into any search engine and it will pop up.. the picture quality on the 8300 is incredibley clear, and really nice. =)

ok, i don't think either of these two are the best but i can compare my phone against my partner's. i have an LG PM-225 and he has a Samsung A840. His camera has better color quality, but mine has better focus. His zoom makes everything pixelated and mine does not. So, I told him not to use his zoom but when color is important I'll take a pic with his phone instead of mine. Hope this helps
