There's a new HP iPaq smartphone coming out. The HP iPAQ hw6940

ahh yeah I have seen the HP Ipaq and it looks nice. I already have a Cingular plan and I'll be adding the data package to it. From what I'e been reading, seeing the HTC is supposed to be really good. What does the HTC have that the HP doesn't? Does the 8700c not have a touch screen because the comparsion didn't say it did...

Now, having played with all of these devices for at least a short period of time, I can tell you that the one that you're missing from your list (HP IPAQ) is by far the best unit so long as you have some coin to drop on this.

As far as bang for your buck is concerned, go with the Treo 650 smartphone. Put it on a rogers voice/data plan if you can afford it (unlimited data with Rogers isn't really unlimited, so read the fine print), or Bell's 90 dollar a month unlimited data with 200 anytime plan...

Another option for your price plan is this:**

-Pick a voice plan that you think is going to meet your needs
-Add the 60.00/month unlimited data transfer option

**keep in mind, you might not get as good of a price on the actual unit if you go this route because Bell subsidises their PDA's based on a voice/data bundle, so be sure to ask.

Speaking from a strictly statistical point of view, the more I look at those 4 side-by-side, the more I think I like that HTC Wizard. I mean, like I said... I don't have any experience with any of these four devices, but I really liked the HP when I saw it, and I've been looking at it on the HP website. But, the HTC wizard has the most internal memory, it's the only one of your three selections with Windows Mobile, it seems like a really nice all-around choice. Like I said, don't take my word for it, I don't know anything about these four devices except what the statistical info tells me on these websites.

Anyone with personal experience please post your opinions.

First, let's compare the three you're looking at with phonescoop.com, this will let you see what features each one has and compare them side-by-side. Then, I'll tell you about an awesome unlocked HP device I'm in love with!

Click here to compare these three devices side-by-side!!!

Now, this was not in your list and you probably didn't even know it was an option. I saw this PDA at work when a client happened to take a business call, and I asked a few questions about it. He said he loves it to death and gets great service. Of course, I have no personal experience with it, but I fell in love the first time I saw it... So look at this awesome unlocked PDA from HP...

    HP hw6500/6510/6515 series

Now, click the following link to add this to the side-by-side comparison....

    Compare all four right here...

Well, even next to the HP that I suggested, the HTC Wizard does seem to have a few features the HP lacks. It just depends which features are most important to you. I still love the HP and if I were on a GSM network I'd probably choose it over the others, but that's my opinion. Don't let that stop you from picking the one that suits your needs the best.

I browsed the general forum and didn't find much comparing PDA Phones.

I need a PDA phone that has bluetooth, plays mp3s, preferrably video and ogg as well, and accepts a memory card of some sort. I don't think my requirements are too stiff...any ideas? Reception strength and quality are VERY important to me as well and I would be willing to sacrifice features for noticeably better reception. Money is an issue.

    So far I'm considering the:
    Blackberry 8700c
    Treo 650
    Cingular 8125(aka HTC Wizard)

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
