    This phone is great, I have no problem with it.

    I even install the TomTom GPS Navigation on this device and it is excellent.

    I-mate Jam is identical to the 02 xda mini II, I have a nokia 6820 and the Jabra BT250v works perfect with that phone.

    My i870 did that with the Jabra BT250v;
    The Plantronics Discovery 640 Bluetooth Headset works great!

    Sounds like a problem with the headset. Try the headset on a different phone, and try a different headset with the phone. Follow the static and you have your problem device. But I would guess the problem is with the headset.

    I own an I-mate Jam and when used with a bluetooth headset, I literally need to hold the the phone next to my headset on my ear when talking. If I move it no more than one foot away, all I ear is static. Is there anyway to improve this problem or do I have a defective phone?
