For my 8700g, I would push the profile button on the left side, and adjust the volume level for each profile.

I have a question for anyone. How do you turn the volume up so you can hear the 8700C ring? Thank you!!

Other than the fact that one is navy blue and the other is silver gray, no. I have heard that the 8700g doesn't have voice dialing while the 8700c does, but not 100% sure though.

The 8700g is a huge improvement from the 7100 form factor.. you no longer have to deal with sure type...

Dual band? what is that? I was under the impression that cingular phones are Quad ban phones..

the 8700C is the cingular version, the 8700G is the tmo version. the tmo 8700G is now available. i found it at www.ushopwireless.com/cr. the rumors are that cingular has better voice service, but tmo has the better data plan. the tmo 8700G also is a quad band, the cingular version is a dual band.

the 8700 has been out for some time now, it is currently only available through cingular, but can be unlocked to work with Tmobile. It will sllowly be released for all carriers, likely later this year.
